Just Enough

It seemed as if he was the only one putting it down
and yet keeping it simple enough to resonate in a crowd
of youth, drug use and booze, just mis-spent passion abound
yeah they slipped in with that levity, but stuck around cause he was profound

He'd be singing with conviction no matter the song
and had us listening, uplifted just knowing we would carry on...
He was giving those drifting weight enough to find a ground
That was high enough to please the crowd

It seemed as if that sound was the only that mattered at all
if sublime was brimming in the background the fore could only be beautiful
Serving both the bliss and the chaos as the sun to a spring and its fall
just coming with the right vibe to ease all the right and the right that's gone wrong

He'd be singing with conviction no matter the song
and had us listening, uplifted just knowing we would carry on...
He was giving those drifting weight enough to find a ground
That was high enough to please the crowd
